Save the Date: Friday, October 12, 5-8:30 pm, Marigold is featuring an exciting Indiana jewelry artist, Roxy Lentz!
Can’t make it Friday? We are hosting a Special Preview Night for Roxy, Thursday, Oct. 11, 5-7pm!
Roxy Lentz: Uncommon, repurposed jewelry
Roxy uses materials most others thought had no value. Silver-plated, heirloom pieces that have been discarded through generations are cut, shaped, torch-welded, and finished in her Clarksville, IN studio. As she works with the metal and melts it down, interesting discoveries of color and texture happen. “When I put the torch on that first tray, the silver layer went into orbit, it shriveled and bubbled up, and I thought this will never work. But, then, I realized I liked what I saw, my customers liked it also. Each metal reacts in a different way, depending on the underlying composition, and the amount of silver used to plate the metal.”
We are beyond thrilled to showcase her work which you HAVE to see in person – a stunning, unique collection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, and brooches. Truly one-of-a-kind, wearable art!
Marigold will be open LATE till 8:30 pm with sips and snacks served, all in conjunction with the Broad Ripple Fall Art Walk on Friday, Oct. 12. Walk around the village and visit all 17 participating locations showcasing art and artisans! See the full list of locations here.
